Trump lawyer denies financial record subpoena

Not Released

Special counsel Robert Mueller's office spent $3.2 million during the first few months of his investigation into Russian election interference and possible coordination with associates of President Donald Trump. The lender said Tuesday it would not comment on any of its clients, adding that Deutsche Bank "always cooperates with investigating authorities in all countries".

But that report, based on a single anonymous source, was called into question nearly immediately by a Fox News report quoting another anonymous source near Mueller, who said there was no subpoena from Mueller's office to Deutsche Bank. Then not long after that, Trump attorney Jay Sekulow confirmed to Reuters that there was no Trump finances subpoena sent to Deutsche Bank. He said that they have confirmed it with the bank itself and "other sources".

Before Trump became president, the bank loaned the Trump Organization hundreds of millions of dollars for various real estate projects. That figure includes a $170-million loan Trump took out to finish a hotel in Washington.

Mueller incorporated several active investigations within the Justice Department including those of Trump campaign contacts with Russian Federation, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's business activities and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Fox fires Bryan Singer as director of Freddie Mercury biopic
The film's cinematographer, Thomas Newton Sigel , stepped in as a substitute director during several of Singer's absences. When Singer boarded Bohemian Rhapsody , he described his vision for the movie as something the entire family could enjoy.

News of the Deutsche Bank subpoena may escalate Trump's vitriol toward investigators, which over the past week has included publicly attacking the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, whose reputation he declared to be " in tatters".

In January, Deutsche Bank agreed to pay US$630 million in fines for organising US$10 billion in sham trades that could have been used to launder money out of Russian Federation. In July, he told the New York Times such an action would amount to crossing a red line.

Mueller's team has also been interviewing White House aides in recent weeks, including former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, former spokesman Sean Spicer and National Security Council chief of staff Keith Kellogg, according to people familiar with the investigation.

"The White House's chief lawyer told President Donald Trump in January he believed then-national security adviser Michael Flynn had misled the Federal Bureau of Investigation and lied to Vice President Mike Pence and should be fired, a source familiar with the matter said", CNN reported.
