New iOS update lets users stop Apple from slowing down phones

An Intern At Apple Stole And Then Leaked Critical iPhone Source Code, Says Report

While this update-probably called iOS 12-will bring new features such as the ability for third-party apps to run across Apple's mobile and desktop platforms, and new "Animoji" characters, some planned features will reportedly be left out.

Apple also expects to integrate iOS 11's cartoony Animojis into FaceTime, enabling participants with TrueDepth cameras to appear as various animated animals during calls.

The company has chose to make a major change to its development program, rather than having its engineers work on a relentless annual release schedule crammed with new features, according to a report Monday from Bloomberg. The leak had the potential for the discovery of new bugs, loopholes or security vulnerabilities that could pose a significant risk to iPhone users.

Apple has a lot of ideas in the works for iOS. To be clear, there will still be updates every year, but engineers will simply have more control over which ones they elect to get released or hold back if need be.

In a world of intense competition, rolling out update after update only to see issues continue to arise has forced Apple back into the drawing room.

'There is nothing impossible in the Premier League'
It's been another gripping Saturday in the Premier League , and we've cherry-picked some of the best stats for you to mull over. Arsenal go into Saturday's game four points behind fifth-placed Spurs and five behind fourth-placed Chelsea .

While these no doubt sound exciting, it also means some of the highly-rumored features could be delayed. Apple is now going towards perfecting the upcoming release of iOS 12 and delaying more drastic features for future versions.

Traditionally, Apple has released major iOS updates on an annual cycle. Additional iPad software upgrades aren't expected until 2019 but they include a feature that would let you run several windows in one app and click between them like tabs in a web browser and a feature that lets two screens from one app run side by side.

Recent reports reveal Apple's iBoot for iOS 9 security software leak - known as its "biggest" leak in company history - originated from a "low-level" employee. But there's a good reason for this change, which was reported by Bloomberg. Only 65% of iOS users have updated to iOS 11, as compared to last year's percentage of iOS 10 which was 79%, according to Apple's developer website.

Unlike Google, Apple doesn't release separate updates for its default apps such as Messages, Calendar, or Mail. The company will, however, introduce some new Augmented Reality (AR) and health-related features in iOS 12. This is conversely bad news for people who like said flashy new features since they'll have to wait a bit longer to get it.
