Comey: John Kelly Called Trump 'Dishonorable' for Firing Me

James Comey says President Donald Trump 'untethered to truth' in new book

Comey's memoir could damage the reputations of Trump and some of his top aides, and the president's allies are scrambling to undercut Comey's account.

Comey warned Trump investigating the dossier for that specific reason might lead the public to believe Trump was being investigated personally, the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director, who Trump fired on May 9, 2017, wrote.

The Kelly scene was first reported Thursday by The Daily Beast and confirmed to The Washington Post by someone who has read Comey's book.

Some Republicans want to undermine Comey's credibility before he begins his press blitz about the book's contents.

According to the Post report, Comey recalled the interaction occurred at the same dinner where he said Trump asked for his "loyalty", which Trump has denied.

"Comey is a liar and a leaker, and his misconduct led both Republicans and Democrats to call for his firing", RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel says in a statement.

Kelly added that he "intended to quit", Comey writes, and "said he didn't want to work for dishonorable people".

League Veteran Andre Ingram Drops 19 in NBA Debut
He finished 6-for-8 from the field, including 4-for-5 on 3-pointers. "All the players, all the coaches". Coming off the bench late in the first quarter, Ingram put on a clinic scoring 19 points in his debut .

The website's launch comes just days before Comey's ABC News interview with George Stephanopoulos airs on Sunday.

But some Republicans have abstained from publicly criticizing Comey before his book tour. Sen.

Comey testified on June 7, 2017, he told Trump on at least two occasions he was not under investigation in the Russian Federation probe.

Since Trump dismissed Comey during the fourth year of a 10-year term he has remained largely silent, with the exception of testifying last summer on Capitol Hill and a handful of searing tweets aimed at the President. "And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not".

Though Comey was a registered Republican for most of his adult life, he has said he no longer is.

A large reception is also planned on Tuesday, the day of the book release, at the Newseum in Washington.

The political contradictions surrounding Comey are underscored by how such a central part of the Republican plan is built around reminding Americans of how Democrats had disdain for him, particularly those from the Clinton campaign. "Badly overstepped his bounds, " Clinton is quoted as saying of Comey.
