James Corden and Sir Paul McCartney

James Corden ended his weeklong stay in London by driving around Liverpool with none other than Paul McCartney himself in his latest "Carpool Karaoke" segment on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Thursday, June 21.

McCartney happily obliged - and even swapped seats with Corden as they harmonized on some of The Beatles' greatest hits, including "Drive My Car" and "Blackbird".

McCartney invited Corden onstage for the final song "Hey, Jude" - which left all in attendance a bit overcome as they joined in a singalong on the final chorus.

Later, McCartney and his band surprised a small group of locals at Liverpool's Philharmonic Pub with a 13-song set that included "A Hard Day's Night", "Back in the U.S.S.R" and his new single, "Come On To Me". "Yeah, I need somebody, not just anybody, please, please help me".

"Your music is so full of positivity and joy and a message of love and togetherness", Corden tells McCartney along the way. "I remember me and my mom and dad". Said Corden, "I think this is an afternoon none of us will forget".
